Our President Ken Meyer is a retired OSHA Compliance Officer with 20 years of safety and health experience in all industries.
Even the safety guy can have a bad day. For me, that day came when I was mauled by a grizzly bear and suffered life altering injuries.
A traumatic event can happen in a split second and change the trajectory of our lives forever. It is what we do with that change that writes our story. For me, I could let a life altering disability derail my plan, or I could utilize my military training and adapt and overcome. Out of this, Houston Machine Guarding Services was born.
Beyond the bear attack, my involvement in the World Trade Center emergency response, Hurricane Katrina, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, countless other incidents, and my work as a federal OSHA compliance officer, all give me a distinct perspective and knowledge as a safety professional. I can use all of the buzz words and phrases like every other guy out there, but the reality is, my life experiences give me an edge!
Not only do I use real world stories in my training and interactions with employees, I also provide intimate knowledge of mistakes and consequences to managers and business owners. This helps you to protect yourself, your company assets and to limit your legal liability.
My unique professional and personal life gives me a specialized set of tools to tackle all safety and life challenges.
With cost in mind, our 40+ years of experience in work place safety, manufactures/fabricates and installs custom and pre-manufactured, machine guards that protect employees from injury and eliminates OSHA citations.
